Janey Downshire (Grad. Dip. Couns; Cert Emotional Literacy; MBACP) is a qualified counsellor, specialising in teenage development.

Her presentations distil the most current research in psychology, neuroscience, biochemistry and child development into practical, relevant strategies for their audiences.

Her work aims to deepen understanding and awareness of the links between emotions, physiology, mental habits and behaviour in order to promote better communication and relationships and improve mental health, emotional regulation and wellbeing in families and schools. She is the Co-author together with her colleague Naella Grew, of Teenagers Translated: A Parent’s Survival Guide.
